We had a lot of queries yesterday about what exactly was involved in this beautiful facelift. Well in particular this client had a Full Facelift which includes the neck, face, and temporal. As well as fat transfer to the face and upper and lower blepharoplasty.
Facelift Before & After
What is involved with a facelift?
During a face-lift, a flap of skin on each side of the face is pulled back, and tissues below the skin are surgically altered to return the contour of the face to a more youthful shape. Before the flap is sutured closed, excess skin is removed.
A neck lift (platysmaplasty) is often done as part of a face-lift to reduce fat deposits and sagging skin on the neck
What is involved with a neck lift?
A neck lift is done to reduce signs of aging in the lower part of the face. It’s often done as part of a face-lift.
What is fat transfer?
Fat transfer is where tiny amounts of fat are taken, usually from the abdomen or thighs, before being injected into desired facial areas with a microdroplet technique. Facial fat grafting has proven longevity, and is ideal for volumising and shaping around the eyes, jawline and cheeks.
What is blepharoplasty?
Blepharoplasty is a type of surgery that repairs droopy eyelids and may involve removing excess skin, muscle and fat. You’d consider this surgery if you have droopy or sagging eyelids that keep your eyes from opening completely or pull down your lower eyelids. Removing excess tissue from your upper eyelids can also improve your vision. Upper and lower lid blepharoplasty can make your eyes appear younger and more alert.
Blepharoplasty may be an option if you have:
- Baggy or droopy upper eyelids
- Excess skin of the upper eyelids that interferes with your peripheral vision
- Excess skin on the lower eyelids
- Bags under your eyes
