What is a Temporal Lift?

As we get older, the skin's elastic tissue starts to become looser and the tell-tale signs of aging, such as wrinkles and loss of firmness, begin to appear on the face. There is nothing wrong with aging naturally, of course. However, many people find that regaining their youthful looks via plastic surgery significantly boosts their self-confidence and enhances their appearance. That is one of the reasons why patients visit us for affordable facelift surgery from across the globe.

A temporal facelift is a technique for enhancing the appearance of your eyes by using tiny incisions to raise the tail (outside corner) of the eyebrows in the temple (the lateral front) of the face.

It removes the sagging at the corners of your eyes and corrects the brow's shape without lifting the eyebrow's middle part. Typically, small incisions are made in the hairline or within the hair, depending on your facial features.

A temporal facelift is recommended if you have hooded eyelids, drooping eyelids, or brows without any forehead issues. It is a less invasive procedure that requires minimal recovery time compared to a brow lift.

Temporal Lift Surgery

  • Read the pre-surgery instructions. They will help prevent complications and improve outcomes for your surgery.

  • Inform Azurite of your overall medical history assessment (any allergies, severe medical conditions and all medications taken, both prescribed and non-prescribed), physical examination, and laboratory tests will be performed during the consultation. Ideally, get sign-off from your GP.

  • Avoid smoking at least six weeks before surgery, as nicotine interferes with circulation and dramatically affects healing.

  • Stop drinking alcohol a week before the surgery and throughout your recovery period.

  • Avoid taking medications such as hormones, anticoagulants, or anabolic steroids for at least 4-6 weeks to prevent complications. Also, avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, fish oil, and herbal supplements like turmeric, as they can increase bleeding.
